Santa Paws has been !!!!
He brought us both lots of treats and new toys, and Peaches got a new special Christmas dish and loads of “Dreamies” treats.
We stayed at home this year, but next year we will probably be in our house in England.

Double CACIB show in Thessaloniki.

We stayed at our usual hotel on the beach and even before the show we met some new friends. Adorable Bears – who travelled down from Bulgaria and we met them when out on our evening walk.
(Dobrin was the first dog that Dolly has ever met and she was a little afraid, but he was a true gentleman).
FANTASTIC RESULTS
Saturday
Dolly – Best Baby of Breed (at just 3 ½ months) and then went all the way to BEST BABY IN SHOW. What a way to start your show career!!
Sapphy – CAC/CACIB/BOB and then RBIG
(this gave her 6 CAC's and now we can apply for her to be a Greek Show Champion)

Well, “Hello Dolly”
18th July 2013
A very early start (about 03.00) but very excited as we are going to see the puppies, and hopefully choose one.
It would have been easy to buy a puppy from the UK whist we were there – but no, we are flying to Sweden to the famous Manaca’s Kennel.
A whole litter of 7 Black & White babies – gosh it will be hard just to select one.
After about 8 hours of travel we are at Manaca’s and the puppies are absolutely gorgeous – 6 weeks old and adorable.
There is nothing like handling the puppies for real, and actually the one we thought we would select from the photos was not the one we actually chose. We called her “Dolly” (our original “photo choice” subsequently went to the USA). We gave Dolly a good-bye kiss.and then off back to the UK – she would be ours forever © in 4 weeks time.
Many thanks to Monica for her hospitality
Arrived home about midnight.
We do not want to just be given a puppy and get it sent on a plane – so next comes the logistical nightmare of getting Dolly to Crete!
Boxing day on the beach

Mum & Dad took us to the beach today. Sapphy went paddling but Dolly only put her toes in the sea.
Afterwards we all went for a drink in a bar in the nearby village.
Winning becomes a habit…..

Double show in Athens.
Saturday is for Greek Bred dogs only so we only entered Sapphy. Great weather, sunny and warm and nice big rings.
Saturday - Sapphy – CAC/PIPEE/BOB and then 3rd BIG
Sunday is an Intl show so both girls entered.
Dolly -Best Baby of Breed

MORE FANTASTIC RESULTS
Sat & Sun - Dolly – Best Baby of Breed and then went all the way to BEST BABY IN SHOW BOTH DAYS. - Against about 24 all breeds. We think that this is a breed first - certainly in Greece!
Sapphy – decided that she was not that keen on indoor shows after the freedom of big outdoor rings – but still picked up a CAC/CACIB
Dolly’s journey to her new home

Leaving the UK today (another early start) and on our travels back to Crete, but with some additional plans. John & Sapphy throw Lynda out of the car at Brussels airport. They carry on their car journey down through Germany.
Lynda flies from Brussels to Copenhagen and a flight change to Arlanda airport Sweden arriving about 20.00 hrs.
Monica has kindly agreed to bring Dolly to the airport and then to our hotel for the night. Very , very excited and OMG she has grown – I hope that nobody actually checks that puppy plus carrier is under the 8kg weight limit for cabin luggage. (no dog of ours will ever go in the hold, so bringing her to the UK was never an option).
She is as gorgeous as I remember – and can’t wait to get her to her new home – but we have some adventures first.
So next day Lynda & Dolly are back at the airport and now heading for Berlin via Frankfurt.
Dolly is beautifully behaved the whole journey and late in the afternoon we meet up with John & Sapphy in Germany.
Couple of days driving to get to the bottom of Italy, then 2 ferry journeys and at last we are home in Crete.
Tired but Happy !!!!!!!
