Cockers on Crete
Late in the evening we go "Volta" or "Walkies" with our friend Nellie, the dalmatian who lives nearby. As soon as we get back to the house,we head straight for the swimming pool and cool down our paws by paddling for a couple of minutes.
We love to travel, and thank heaven never get travel sick. We all go across Europe to our home in England and to Dog Shows here in Greece, and always enjoy our trips! We’ve been on planes, trains and automobiles. Living on an island means we also get to go on loads of boats and ferries – we are Silver members of ANEK ferry club. At Christmas in 2012 Sapphy went to the German Christmas markets - it was really cold (for a Mediterranean cocker) and she had to wear her coat. First time on the U-Bahn, and then meeting Father Christmas - what a day!!
Mum & Dad try to make sure that we get the best of everything:
Food – Barking Heads, Lily’s Kitchen and quite a lot of home-cooked.
Walks – not only do we have free run of the large garden, but we are walked about 5km every day. (Dolly does not do the full walk yet)
Social – We are lucky that Mum & Dad take us to lots of interesting places, all the cafes, the tavernas, dog shows, the city and most importantly the beach and the sea. We love swimming in the sea and playing ball on the beach. (One of the things we find difficult in the UK compared to the rest of Europe is just how restrictive life is when you want to take your dog with you).
Love & Cuddles – a never-ending supply!
When the weather gets hot (and I mean Greek hot, not UK Summer hot) We spend most of the day sleeping. We also have our own sun-bed under the shady grapevine.
