Cockers on Crete
John is now retired from a successful career as a software engineer, having owned his company for almost 30 years. His first cocker Buster (black & white) came into his life when he was about 5 years old, and his love for the breed has never dwindled.
Lynda spent just over 20 years working with a well-known stockbroking firm. Dogs and showing have been an important part of her life from an early age - please read the Nickarlyn story. Her first cocker came in 1994, an orange & white called Oscar.
In 2005, came , Alfie, our tri-colour boy. Unfortunately he had a chronic health problem - we gave him a fantastic life for 6 years, when he finally succumbed to his illness.
We “emigrated” to the Greek island of Crete in 2009 (keeping our house in England)
Sapphy arrived in 2011 and we started to show her, with considerable success, becoming an International and MULTI show champion in 2014.
Since July 2013, we have another black and white, very beautiful “show” cocker Dolly .
Both Sapphy and Dolly just love going to shows, getting lots of attention and, by now, must be on lots of other peoples’ photos.
It’s quite difficult to get to the shows because we live on Crete, and just getting to mainland Greece involves an overnight ferry trip. So shows tend to be tied-up with other travel arrangements.
